Doug Mefford
Sr. Vice President & General Counsel
Mr. Mefford joined Cogent in 2007 with more than 16 years experience as an attorney, 11 of which were with healthcare companies. He provides legal counsel on all business and regulatory matters for the company.
Prior to joining Cogent, Mr. Mefford served as a Vice President and Senior Group Counsel for Community Health Systems, a large national hospital company, and as a Division Counsel for Gambro Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest dialysis providers. Mr. Mefford earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Kentucky University and his law degree from the University of Kentucky.
