Eric Siegal, M.D.
Regional Medical Director
Dr. Siegal joined Cogent in 2006 and oversees our programs in the central region. He previously worked for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, where he was part of the attending medical staff. He also served on the faculty and as director of the hospitalist program at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Prior to his move to the academic arena, Dr. Siegal founded and served as president of Inpatient Services, PC, which became the largest free-standing hospitalist company in Colorado. He started the company with four hospitalists in 1998 and built the practice to 23 before he left in 2003. Currently, Dr. Siegal is the chair of SHM’s Public Policy Committee and a member of the Annual Meeting Planning Committee. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and a reviewer for the Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
